2012's first season of Afreeca WarCraft League, sponsored by Geekboard, has reached the group stage phase. FoCuS, StoRm, Believe and Lawliet already qualified since last season based off of most gathered points, they will now join up with 12 more players entering the next stage of the league.
Worth to note is that ReMinD went through the qualifiers to reach Group B where his Night Elf buddy LawLiet awaits.
The competition is slim when it comes to internationally known players. ReprisaL, Sweet, Space and Soccer were all invited to play the qualifier but did not attend. WhO, who has transitioned over to StarCraft 2, did attend the qualifier but lost to Undead player Lich in the qualifier.
The first matches of the group stage are set to kick off on February 28.
