Tychus returns to top tier glory

At the 1:41:15 mark of this past broadcast, Cloud9 drafts Tychus to finish off their Cho'Gall lineup. To those unaware of the recent grand finals matches between MVP Black and eStar, this may seem like a troll pick because they don't take their opponents very seriously.

But it's not a troll pick:

It's the same response MVP Black had to eStar's 4 melee lineup that also featured Xul and Muradin. MVP Black even picked Tychus one more time to in response to eStar's Uther and E.T.C.

Tychus was buffed in a huge way a month ago, but teams haven't been quick to adopt him back into the top-tier fold. MVP Black however, included Tychus as a tournament staple, often countering Muradin, Xul, and other heroes that can't avoid Tychus insane mini-gun DPS. Muradin in particular is shredded by Tychus, thanks to the percentage based damage Tychus brings and its potency vs. Avatar. You can see them pick Tychus once more in another series vs eStar.

Still don't believe me? MVP Black picked Tychus once more against Mighty. Guess which warrior they used Tychus to counter?

In a world of Muradins, Tychus is king. I don't care what your HL teammates say when you pick him, Tychus is back and the pro community is just now beginning to appreciate the specific damage type he brings to a team composition. There is already a case to be made about the return of multiple warrior compositions and, if Tychus is already starting to see play, things are looking up for everyone's favorite bad, bad man.

You can find the VoDs of these matches on Gillyweeds past broadcast twitch page. Two Tychus matches can found here and another two Tychus matches later on in the grand finals here starting at the 4:40:00 mark.
