Proposed new observer/spectator stat: Active net worth

Active net worth = (resources mined) - (resources lost)

This would be different from Army (resource) value because it includes buildings.

Resources lost gives a sense of resource efficiency

Active army value gives a sense of relative size of combat units

Active net worth (proposed) will give a better net sense of being ahead or behind in the game overall -- taking into account lost mining time, upgrade spending, infrastructure spending, economy investment, and everything that has happened to resources since the start of the game. Two armies with the same unit comps/size, but one has 300 resources of upgrades/tech advantage, will not be represented in army value. I would love to see this when looking at my own replays, and also shown by observer in pro matches, rather than casters/myself needing to piece this information together across upgrade spending + army supply/value + composition.

This stat would also give some value to resources banked (even though until 200/200 you can't really count bank as an advantage per se)

I wouldn't even mind if this stat completely replaced (resources lost), and we don't even have access to a "resources mined" value.

What do folks think?
