idec-arena-banner.JPG

3 months ago the very famous and known place IHCS was closed down due to internal conflicts and policies.

After the happening, some of the old management members already started out a new project with the same concept but in an improved version - nowadays known as IDEC (International DotA Elite Community). This community and league features the best players from all over the globe and now after 3 months of hard work, the new community IDEC is now officially open and launched.

One of the founders and management members ZexTar have been interviewed by myMYM, read on to find out what the aim of IDEC is and what it will be featuring!

Season 1 has just came to an end and the prizes will be handed to Freezer, Puppey, and Tompa. Do you think the prizes are attractive enough to motivate the players?

We had a very nice first season - Freezer, Puppey & Tompa deserved the prizes they won - I hope the prizes motivate them and the rest of the IDEC players to play even more and harder to end up in the Top 3 in Season 2. We will make sure there will be some better awards for the next upcoming seasons.

IDEC's hostbot is said to be unique and different. How is it different from the thousands of host-bot available everywhere?

IDEC's hostbot is indeed unique and different from all other hosting bots. First of all, IDEC's hosting bot is the only hosting bot that works on Garena, also its not similar to any of the Battle.net hosting bots. It is created in another way so there is less delay, errors and almost no chance of desync - the hosting bot ensures that all competitive games can be played without any delay at all. However, we are in the midst of solving the conflict the host-bot has with the Asian community and are hoping a solution can be discovered before the next version of bot is released. You will be able to read more about the hosting bot in an article which will be posted by the end of this month on www.IDEC-Arena.com (How it was created, its features, and if you want to request to use the hosting bot etc).

How do you think IDEC is progressing at the moment?

IDEC is progressing fine at the moment – maybe a bit slow but that's because we have a lot of projects running, also we are gamers, not organizers that make a huge profit – Wel also study, and that requires some amount of time as well. However, we are working to make IDEC more user friendly and more like a community, like with our new homepage, which is open to the public – we will also make some small events for every registered user – so feel free to register!

What sort of improvements will we be able to see in the upcoming months?

In the next couple of months, we will improve our hosting-bot a little with some new features, and the hosting bot will be moved from Germany's 100/100mbit server to the famous AK47 Netcafe in Denmark with the huge 1000/1000mbit connection. There will also be new features on the website, such as a replay-parser, some small events and contests. We are also working to get more IDEC replays to be automatically uploaded to the website with the hosting bot or/and streamed – so the fans can always watch competitive matches with their favorite players in it.

Will IDEC be hosting any events anytime soon?

Yeah, we are working hard to get a tournament up. Besides that, some small events and contests will be held too. Then of course, for a little surprise, we will be hosting "IDEC Open day", a 1-day event where all the registered users on the site are welcomed into IDEC to play alongside their idols.

Who are the sponsors of IDEC?

First we have Steelseries – Steelseries is providing IDEC with the best Gaming Gear in the world. Pokeridol.com - Pokeridol.com is an Online poker for esport fans and gamers- not just promoting themselves, so therefore we are very happy to working with them - and they will soon sponsor a tournament too. And lastly AK47 Netcafe – AK47 Netcafe is Denmark’s biggest Internet Café with some of Europe's best gaming computers. AK47 supplies IDEC with anything else we might need, such as servers for bots, designers and coders etc.

We here at GosuGamers also caught up with two others of IDEC management for a short statement.

AlaN: We are moving ourselves towards a more professional community at the moment, we welcome talents, fans & publics to join us.

SothQ: I think IDEC has great potential becoming a well known and respected community. Our goal from the beginning was to establish a community where respect plays such a major role as skill. We all know the players in IDEC got a huge ego, everyone claiming to be the best. There are many disputes in IDEC as well and it is a challenge to us to maintain order and peace in the channel as well as in the community.
