Stork reaches the OSL finals again!

Stork is systematically eliminating his opposition in these final stages of the Incruit OSL, all of whom happen to be SK Telecom T1 players. It started with Bisu in the quarter finals and this time it was BeSt's turn.

Stork is certainly no stranger to finals. In fact, he seems to share the infamous YellOw curse, consistently reaching the finals and never seeming to be able to win. But to reach the finals he first had to battle one of the most accomplished PvP players in the game, BeSt, who came into this match with a sixteen game winning streak against protoss. Read that again, 16 consecutive wins against protoss players! Stork was going to have to bring out his absolute best game to have any hope of succeeding.

Luckily for Stork fans, he did.

Game 1 @ Chupung-Ryeong

After Stork scouts the proxy gateway by BeSt, a frantic battle ensues between zealots and probes that does some damage to Stork's probe count. Eventually the attack is driven off and the game settles into a buildup for the inevitable clash in the center of the map with reavers, dragoons and zealots a plenty. Some incredible micro from both players makes this game a very tense PvP indeed, but BeSt's macro is slightly above Stork's, as is his micro and as such he wears him down until Stork is forced to surrender.

Game 2 @ Medusa

BeSt was feeling good, having won the last game against Stork and proceeded with an ordinary one gateway into robo bay build. Stork was having none of it and built no less than four gateways in an all-in move. BeSt did not scout this and was completely unprepared for the large amount of units that appeared at his front door just as his robotics support bay finished warping in. He was swiftly overwhelmed and Stork evens out the score.

Game 3 @ Return of The King

The third game will is a game that simply must be seen. For the sake of results, I will say that Stork does indeed win the game, but as to how he does it, I'll say this: Watch the kill count on Stork's reavers.

Game 4 @ Plasma

Now, Plasma has been a map that has seen a lot of cheese. Stork was of a similar mind and decided to place his first gate way in a proxy position close to BeSt's base. More specifically, he placed his gateway by BeSt's mineral line, followed by yet another one as well as a manner pylon that trapped a few probes. Even more frustration ensued when a second probe from Stork arrives somewhat later and steals BeSt's gas. After Stork's proxy buildings are beaten off both players go into macro mode and soon enough the inevitable clash in the center of the map takes place. Stork marches right over BeSt's forces, takes down one expansion and BeSt surrenders.

Next!

It began with Bisu, it continued with BeSt and now Fantasy awaits. Will Stork be able to pull off an OSL win, after so many silver medals? Or will Fantasy be the third terran ever to walk the Royal Road? Watch for a preview of the upcoming finals soon. In the meantime, make sure to catch the vods if you have not already done so for some excellent PvP action!
