Malaysia fails to get their revenge on Singapore as Cybertime falls to AEON.sg in the Asian DotA Championship Grand Finals with a score of 1:3 in favor of AEON.sg.
Even with a one game advantage for coming from the Winners bracket, Cybertime succumbed to the great team-play and wise decision making of AEON.sg. It looks like Malaysia has to wait a while longer to get back their revenge.
GosuGamers was there to witness all three games being played into the wee hours of Christmas morning. Here are some thoughts on the games being played.
AEON picked Storm Spirit as one of their main carries which proves to be a important pick by the Singaporeans. Xy- played it incredibly well, balling in at crucial moments to ensure that they win decisive battles. DkM4ge from the former hybrid Kingsurf was present to lend a hand to his former team mates in the form of Razer.yongyong. The Singaporeans won the ward battle thanks to him. An overfarmed Shadow Fiend by ChuaN was unable to cover Mushi's underfarmed Morphling leading to Cybertime losing game one.
In game two, we see the roles being reversed when AEON picked Shadow Fiend and Cybertime picking Storm Spirit. AEON managed an amazing comeback after they fell behind early and mid game in hero kills. Around the 30 minute mark, when Spectre was able to farm up his Vanguard and Radiance. They began to dominate. Even without any BKBs against Cybertime's massive stun line-up, xy- and hyhy were able to survive major clashes, slowly picking of Cybertime heroes one by one after the initial combo wore off.
Even with Mushi playing his signature hero, Templar Assassin, Cybertime wasn't able to take this game. Cyberitime failed to ban Storm Spirit against AEON, proving that it is a major mistake from Cybertime. Xy-'s micro was just prefect, casting spells with precision timing. Although Mushi was able to farm an early Dagger at 8 minutes and a Desolator at 24 minutes, it wasn't enough against the sheer power of AEON's devastating line-up.
All in all, it was a great Christmas present by Garena to the community. An even greater present to all Singaporean DotA players. Cybertime still managed to bag $800, while AEON went home with $1200. ADC III concludes with Singapore taking the crown, followed by Malaysia and Vietnam.
