After two consecutive playoff finishes, PartinG finally faces an early end after suffering a 1-2 loss to Symbol today. The two sparred for almost two hourse before Symbol's swarm host could overwhelm Akilon Wastes and eject PartinG from the competition for the Korean crown.

With Soulkey already through to the playoffs, the competition in Group A is down to Symbol and soO, who will play next week to decide who goes on and who falls down. The AZUBU Zerg has been extremely strong on Korean soil, finishing second in GSL Season 1 and top four in WCS Korea Season 1 so he definitely is looking like the favorite. His 2-0 win against soO last seasobn will further help Symbol's psychie going into the deciding series.

In Group B, Bomber came out strong against Flash and dealt him his second 0-2 loss for the round, mathematically eliminating him from the competition. Bomber utilized a massive hellion raid to take game on and came back from a worker deficit ingame two to masterfully transition into air Terran and kill Flash in the mid-game, securing a playoffs spot for himself.

Bomber thus joins Innovation at the top half of the bracket and both Terran will advance to the next stage, though a match between them next week is to determine who will take the first place. This also means that Bbyong will follow Flash down to Challenger.

In Group C, things are looking tough for SKT's Terran ace Fantasy after 1-2 loss to Hyvaa today. Fantasy was bombarded with a series of cheeses and although he easily took game one after stopping Hyvaa's 6-pool, the roach hammer in game two and the baneling bust in game three took his life, and sent him on the bottom of the table with a map score of 1-4.

Although wihtout a single series win, Fantasy is not out of the picture yet, though he has to prey for a lot of things to go in his way. The Terran needs a 2-0 win against Rain next week while hoping for First to 2-0 Hyvaa, thus allowing Fantasy to advance by the power of better map score. At this point, only First is certain to advance with a current map score of 4-0.

In Group D, Terran youngester Maru of team Prime secured his playoffs spot by going 2-1 against Supernova in a relatively short (for TvT standards) mirror. From start to finish, the battle was waged between Maru's bio and Supernova's mech and in the end it was the former that prevailed, meaning Supernova will have to fight Trap next week for the last spot in the playoffs.

The last group stage games are scheduled for Thursday, July 18th.
