For the second time in a row, Prime's ace drops from Code after failing to beat the up/down matches and will start the new season in Code A.
MarineKing was sent down to Code A after his Ro32 exit which came after finishing last in a group with sOs, Soo and Curious. Down in the Code A bracket, MKP almost made it back to Code S immediately but was thwarted by StarTale's Life. With a 0-2 loss from the Zerg prodigy, MKP took the train to the up/down matches.
Once again, MKP came within hand's reach of the Code S spot and after a day of fighting, the Prime ace was put to play tiebreakers with Hurricane and First. The first set of matches didn't decide into anyone's favor and another one had to be played and in those, MKP wasn't as lucky. Losing two games in a row decided MarineKing's fate and he will be skipping next season's competition for the Code S trophy.
With Hurricane's and First's promotion comes the end of this half of up/down matches. The remaining three groups will be played in the week after the Code S finals, starting with Group F on June 4th.
