Testie on CANOE news

[s]interview[/s]

Nick Perentesis, probably more known to you as Testie, just stated on a Canadian newsportal called CANOE: cnews when asked about upcoming WCG that he can achieve top 3 easily if the brackets are advantageous to him. The truth or just a very controvertible statement? Read more.

CANOE: CNews, a Canadian newsportal, reports about news in Canada, the United States and the rest of the world but also about a topic called "Tech News" which is exclusively about Computer and Internet related stuff. A few days ago their newsreporter Neil Davidson made a report about the upcoming WCG Finals in Singapore Singapore, the part the Canadian players may take over and especially which role Testie will play in this year WCG.

Next to some basic facts about the WCG, Testie was asked if he is able to score well and what would happen if he gets a lucrative offer in South Korea South Korea. Furthermore it also becomes clear that he has been invited as one of the very few players to BlizzCon:

Blizzard Entertainment, which makes StarCraft, has invited the Canadian down to show off his skills at BlizzCon, a celebration of their games set for Oct. 28-29 at the Anaheim Convention Center in California.

Five top Korean gamers and two other top non-Korean gamers have also been invited by the company. Blizzard has booked the band the Offspring to entertain at the show.

"I'm one of the few non-Koreans who can actually compete against Koreans," he said Monday from his home. "It depends on the (draw) brackets, but I think I can achieve top three easily."

South Korea is crazy about StarCraft, which tells the tale of a futuristic galactic war. Tournaments featuring the real-time strategy game are even televised live there.

Perentesis qualified for last year's world finals, cracking the final 16 despite a bout of flu.

He knows he can do better.

"Outside of Korea, most people rank me as No. 1 or No. 2 with my friend Mondragon (the handle of a German gamer)," Perentesis said.
