Present at the Washington D.C press conference that Fahrenkopf spoke at were Keith Smith, president of Boyd Gaming; Gordon Kanofsky, CEO of Ameristar Casinos; and Virginia McDowell, president of Isle of Capri Casinos.
Thursday, a lunch meeting was planned between the AGA, casino heads and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) and top Democratic leaders to discuss the bill and a host of online gambling matters.
Ceasars Entertainment capitalized on the SEC filing news of their $147 million loss over the last three months as further evidence that the U.S. government needs to tackle the online poker legislation to add jobs and bring back to the U.S. needed gaming revenue to help the ailing casino industry.
Gary Loveman, CEO of Caesars Entertainment which owns the WSOP stated:
