No more sO.o in Team USA or iCCup

There have been lot of hacking accusations lately, but one we did not notice until a couple of days ago is what they call the hacking scandal of iCCup. The American player sO.o was as close to caught as he can be, and is now banned from iCCup.

sO.o, or Hungtran, as some of you might know him, has been doing very well in leagues, tournaments, and the Russia-based ladder iCCup lately. Apparently a lot of people found it suspicious because after his replays were watched, he was both banned from iCCup and kicked from the USA national team.

Team USA

The team USA captain ToT)iNcontroL( told GosuGamers that it just had to be this way. As there is no anti-hack program all they can do is to watch the replays and judge whether the player is hacking or not by what they see.
- The replays are as conclusive as they get. With no anti hack program or real detectives we cannot be 100% but this is as close as it gets.
With everyone agreeing on this matter the only thing they could do was to remove sO.o from the team.

International Cyber Cup

When talking to the iCCup head admin, YelloAnt, we learn that apparently the problems started quite some time ago. There are a lot of Korean players who have been refusing to play versus sO.o on this server, convinced that he uses map hack. A lot of complaints were received from players who thought he shouldn't be in the ladder. When the admins sat down and watched the replays, they found them very convincing, and with some of sO.o's own friends feeding them more information and replays with Korean players they had what they needed to ban him from the ladder.

Excello

sO.o is a member of the multigaming team Excello and we caught up with the team leader Bartar and asked him how they plan to handle this. Bartar says he wants to talk to sO.o first, but thinks that he was not banned from WGTour so whether he will stay in Excello or not is still to be decided.
- Since I don't kick players till I give them another chance, he will probably not leave.

Many wonder what will happen with the rankings here at our page, but for now we will leave it the way it is. There is no proof that he used any kind of hack in the matches that counted towards his ranking. However, we are very concerned, and the matter will certainly be looked into.
