I have often wondered how to bring about the mass number of players that play BGH, fastest and other money maps. BWCoach may do just that. I hope this program is embraced by the community of BGH and money map players and brings them to our side of the game. If it does this only, it will mute even the most doubtful of its opponents. I was offered to Beta test the program and found it to fulfill my every newbie fantasy and it dawned upon me the true potential of this program.
It will slowly but surely be the most influential program that has ever come out and it will indeed change the game very much as the replay function when it came out. The program itself is a beauty but like the » RWA recorder and player you will not realize its value until people start making the training files. The training files are already a motive generations of news to come. I can just imagine future news along the lines of ‘Boxer’s training files top download!’
I was also offered to make some training files which in itself is a hard, time consuming activity that is just pure fun. You learn more making a training file and testing it than actually just using someone elses training files. This is a new scenario that will bring many pleasant surprises. I can already see a difference in types of training files.
Jca’s initial package comes with some training files already. I am sure that in the future we will have training files specifically tailored for the newbie and the very best. Still, do not judge the program by its training files, the real good training files are yet to come. This program is a wonderful tool and it is in our hands to make use of it.Many people have already criticized the program as unfair, some because it comes now after years of gaming and learning the hard way. These battle trained warriors are the same that complained about replays when they came out and how replays ruined the game. But the fact remains today we could not live without replays. This game is as much a spectator game as it is an active game today. Some have made the criticism that it is an unfair tool that could be used in a game. Once you try it out you realize the folly of such comments. The best way to train with BWcoach is with either a willing sparring partner or a computer.
Just like top chess players like Kasparov today use » ChessBase and other training programs for chess openings so will the average player in Broodwar use his BWcoach for tuning his Build orders. If chess players can use such programs, then why can’t we? This game is almost as complex and like chess the learning curve in it never stops. You can not stop knowledge. Let the people learn ~ bring on the better competition!
