Brazil Gearing up!

The WCG was a success in Brazil, with more than 1600 players participating in the preliminaries for the main games and within one week we will know the 15 qualified that go to San Francisco next month. Out of these 15 cyber athletes two spots to San Francisco are reserved for Starcraft.

There are 20 players in the Starcraft finals. We have missed most of the action considering that twenty or so smaller preliminaries were held in the country, whose winners participated in 8 preliminaries with the result of the 20 winners we now have.

The Great Final will last four days (9-12 September). Now just so you know, Brazilians do things with grandeur. They will have a series of parties, and fashion events with many models, and cyber girl parade and a BYOC event, » 2004 WCG Brazil site, will be held in Brasilia, Capital of Brazil. The finals will be held in a luxurious » resort in Brasilia.

The two favorites are of course HellGhost[pG] and mibr. Note also that HellGhost[pG] not only has participated in every WCG but he is currently being sponsored by Intel and represents g3x.
