The second season of the StarLadder’s StarSeries iLeague PUBG has come to an end with Europe’s Team Liquid finally securing the first place position.

Team Liquid has been consistent in their performance in all tournaments including the PUBG Global Invitational 2018, Global Loot League 2, and the Hong Kong PUBG World Invitational. Securing only the second rank or the third rank, Liquid finally made it to number one. With steady gameplays and strategy, Liquid has made themselves stronger.

Among the other 8 teams who were also invited based on their performance at the StarSeries iLeague PUBG Season 1 include Cloud 9, FaZe Clan, Team Vitality, Tempo Storm, AVANGAR, OGN Entus Ace, and 4am. In addition to these 8 teams, other 16 teams have also been invited to play the group stage after winning the regional qualifiers. Among the popular names include Pittsburgh Knights, Gen.G Esports, Method, and Natus Vincere.

Coming in second place is South Korea’s OGN, who only had a disadvantage of 51 points against Liquid. The third rank was secured by EU’s Team Vitality, another team from the top 8 invited teams in the Final Stage. The odds did not work in favor of North America’s Pittsburgh Knights though. Although Knights have displayed successful aggressive gameplays at the PUBG competitive scene, they were only able to rank at the 9th place.

Sixteen of the world’s strongest PUBG teams will battle it out for a prize pool of $100,000 and a champion title at the PGL-PUBG Fall Invitational 2018 this October.
