One of the features I loved about this noble site, back when I first found it in the profile a Swedish gamer, was the picture of the week. The only problem was that they were never updated fast enough for my own patience. I would check every day in hope for a new one only to find the same old picture. Now working from behind the battle lines I have realized why.
No one sends them. It is very hard to find original material on an 8 year old game and our members seldomly ever send us a good picture of the week. At least one we will not be crucified when posting it. There is another reason why we sometimes take forever to update them. Fear. More often than not after finally finding the holy grail when it comes to POTWs we get flamed or stoned. Still though we fear we are not lacking courage and time after time we bring a new image for our members and fans.
There are also many many pictures that the younger generation has not seen that we keep to ourselves out of fear again of the invariable "lame, old" reply. This is sad because for the benefit of a few old shoolers, we ignore the majority. It is thus we have changed our policy. We will be having Picture of the Day now until further notice. The quality might decrease to the hard core but we will make up for it in quantity and variety. You will still get the picture of the week at the same interval and quality, except that every other day there will be PTOD to please or offend your eyes.
If you want to see a truly "leet" image, send it - until then we shall take over. The week shall become a day like everything else in the internet, no more waiting. You will also note a new style of reply moderation emulating
