In the cases of Orisa and Brigitte, those dates were the beginning of teaser campaigns that lasted for nearly a week prior to a reveal. With Baptiste, it was the single post followed by a reveal shortly afterward.
Now yes, Blizzard's hero release pattern was already broken when no hero was announced at BlizzCon (except Sojourn, who isn't coming until OW2). We don't have a lot of reason to think that Blizzard will go back to their regular patterns if so many resources are being devoted to the new game.
But we DO know that they plan to release at least one new hero prior to OW2, and since this week is one of the windows where that process has started in the past, it's worth keeping a weather eye out.
