More information regarding the tournament's ruleset and brackets were also released.

BEAT announced earlier today that the Las Vegas-based Rogue will be taking the spot of Team Liquid in the Overwatch BEAT Invitational Season 2 starting up on July 7. Liquid pulled out of the competition due to "prior commitments."

Rogue has been a powerhouse in Overwatch since the beta, with the Frenchmen dominating the EU scene before moving to Las Vegas to take on NA teams. Most recently, they beat eUnited to claim first at Overwatch TaKeOver 2. They were invited to APEX Season 3, but did not advance past the group stages. They were also the champions of Overwatch Rumble - April, Overwatch PIT Championship and the April Overwatch Monthly Melee.

More information for the tournament has also been announced. The standard one-hero-limit has now been made official for the Invitational, as have the usual Competitive ruleset. Ties will be broken via a King of the Hill match.

Brackets have also been made official:

Group 1
Counter-Logic Gaming

Group 2
LG Evil
Evil Geniuses

Group 3

Group 4
Tempo Storm

Maps will be chosen from a pre-selected list (see below). Initial map choice is decided by coin flip,  after which the loser of the preceeding map selects the next map. Positions (Attack/Defend) are chosen by the opposite team.

The map pools for the event are as follows:
