INTERNETHULK leaves EnVyUs, joins Laser Kittenz as Head Coach

With his EnVyUs contract expired, INTERNETHULK decided to move on to Laser Kittenz.

Team EnVyUs' flex/support and captain, Dennis "INTERNETHULK" Hawelka, has decided not to renew his contract with the team and instead start a trial run of being head coach for Laser Kittenz, as he announced on Twitter earlier today.

INTERNETHULK said that he was still going to be "exploring [his] options" while being the interim head coach for the European team. EnVyUs has not announced a replacement for the player. Laser Kittenz announced that he would be joining the team in their bootcamp session in Korea and working alongside Chris "spazzo" Infante, Laser Kittenz's strategy coach.

The now-head coach said he would hold a AMA tomorrow, April 23, to answer questions.

INTERNETHULK has quite the history in Overwatch: he and EnVyUs won the inaugural season of APEX, though they did fall short in Season 2. His departure from EnVy comes just a day short of his year anniversary of joining the team, back on April 23, 2016. Before that, he had been on IDDQD. He also participated in the Overwatch World Cup under the Germany banner.

EnVyUs most recently accepted an invitation to compete in APEX Season 3. Laser Kittenz just recently went through a roster change themselves, having lost Sergi "Winghaven" Torras and Nikolaj "Zaprey" Ian Moyes last week and Herman "Nesh" Kobrin within the past few days. Though replacements have been established for DPS players Zaprey and Nesh, Winghaven's Tank role has been temporarily filled thanks to Rogue loaning Nicholas "skipjack" Rosada to Laser Kittenz.
