Overwatch Nexus Cup presents the remainder of the Playoffs and the Grand Finals!
Tune in the playoffs and the Grand Finals of the Chinese organised Nexus Cup!
The Nexus Cup is a medium-sized Chinese Overwatch tournament that is heading into its last stage: the final series of the playoffs are scheduled on the 27th of December, and the Grand Finals will close the tournament on the 28th of December. The prize pool contains about $8,700.
If we take a closer look at the Upper and Lower Bracket, we are witnessing an almost undefeated KongDoo Panthera fighting their way into the Grand Finals, which is a best-of-seven. The remaining teams who battle it out in the Lower Bracket are Mighty AOD, Afreeca Freecs Blue and the sister team of KongDoo Panthera: KongDoo Uncia. A rematch is on the program, as Mighty AOD and KongDoo Uncia clash again after Mighty won 2-1 in the first round. KongDoo Uncia has to prove themselves if they want to face their opponent AF Blue in the Lower Bracket best-of-five final and proceed through the Grand Finals. One thing is certain, a Korean team will claim the title of this tournament.
