Overwatch Gosu “GosuGamers” Gamers

Europe got its turn to provide some exciting Overwatch action today and it did not disappoint. With a bracket featuring NiP, Dignitas and Melty eSport Club we had an eventful qualifier, but only one can win.

The MSI Masters Gaming Arena qualifiers continued to thrill with the conclusion of the European regional today. The best that Europe had to offer met up in an 8 team, single elimination, best of 3 bracket to decide who would be the European representative at the Tri-Regional main event. The team that qualified today will be joined by Rise Nation and an Asian team yet to be determined.

It was finally Europe’s turn at bat and they knocked it out of the park. There was no shortage of excitement as the Finnish Phenoms, Ninjas in Pyjamas, cruised to victory without dropping a game. They dispatched top European teams such as Dignitas and closed beta legends Melty eSport Club to qualify for the main event. Melty went on a good run after several disappointing results in recent tournaments. The mostly French squad made quick work of Alternate Attax and managed to defeat Team LDLC in a hotly contested series. Once in the in final, however, Melty ran out of gas and were quickly defeated by NiP.

Ninjas in Pyjamas is now the second team confirmed for the main event, with the Asian representative being decided in the coming days. The fourth team will be decided and invited by MSI, and will be announced soon.
