[Community Spotlight] wack0 gives insight in high level comms
Grandmaster player wack0 (SR: 4060) uploaded a scrim where he played Reaper on King's Row. The scrim highlights how high level comms sound.
wack0, a DPS player for Team Project, put a VOD of one of his team's scrim sessions on his YouTube channel. It quickly hit the top spot on r/CompetitiveOverwatch, and was clearly a big hit with many who wanted to get into competing, but did not have the knowledge of comms to do so. For this reason, we decided to highlight it in our community spotlight, as communication is such an important part of this game!
The comms showcase how high level teams think, and wack0 himself shows off a few nifty strategies. Especially noteworthy was his teleport on top of the statue, which allowed Team Project to get a team wipe after a single Reaper Q. You can also listen in on how pros play around Mei as there was a lot of coordination regarding Mei's wall. The wall can be devastating when used correctly. Of course, for all the domination going on some team members had to remind Team Project to stay calm and not get too overaggressive! Finally, as Ultimates are such an important part of the game, listening in on these comms lets you know exactly how big they can be. Team Project made sure to keep both their own and the enemies' Ultimates in mind before executing a single strategy.
