GosuGamers' EU/NA Weekly #14 recap and highlight video

With the implementation of the new competitive rule set, GosuGamers Weekly #14 was the most intense one yet!

Another week and another GosuGamer’s Weeklies in the books. This week a new competitive rule set was implemented in order to help the pros prepare for the $100k ESL Atlantic Showdown that is taking place in just over six weeks. The new rules did away with hero limits, changed control maps to be best of five, and assault mode made a reappearance. The rules were not the only new thing this weeks, as we are also introducing the Top Competitive Overwatch Moments video montage. This week we have some of the top moments from Weekly #14 as well as some insanity that goes along with no hero limit! Be sure to check out GosuGamers Overwatch YouTube channel for more videos.

The EU Weekly had Misfits, formerly Graviton Surge, showing that they are a top European team after taking down REUNITED twice, including the grand finals. Misfits came into this Weekly on a hot streak, dominating the month of June with only six losses to go along with their thirty-six wins. They continued their strong play into the month of July with six straight wins. Their competition in the Weekly were no slouches as they came away with wins over some strong teams including SG-1, b.fly, and REUNITED. REUNITED seemed to bounce back after dropping team co-founder 2Easy. The surprise of the tournament has to be 2sTroNk who took third place and came away with a stunning victory over fourth place finisher SG-1.

With EnVyUs taking the week off, Cloud9 had the chance to show that they are still a top NA team and they didn’t disappoint. They made sure to start off July on the right foot and ended up with wins over Gale Force eSports, Melty eSports, and nubris. While they are still a step below EnVyUs, Cloud9 still seems to be a step above most other teams. Gale Force eSports looked strong early on in the tournament, even coming away with a 2-1 win over the eventual runner up nubris, but again was unable to come through in the clutch. They placed third, behind Cloud9 and nubris, with 1SHOT rounding out the top four.
