TaKeOver: Interview with organisers plus our Aftermovie
We asked JoRoSaR to interview TaKe and Basti, the masterminds behind the TakeOver Overwatch LAN event last weekend.
Last weekend (27th – 29th May), TakeTV hosted their first ever LAN tournament for Overwatch, TakeOver, in which eight European teams battled it out in the TaKe’s Gaming Bar in Krefeld, Germany. Together with John “JoRoSaR” Sargent, we interviewed two main brains behind the event: Dennis “TaKe” Gehlen (the founder of TakeTV) and Sebastian “Basti” von Blottnitz (Project Manager & Communications at TaKeTV).
In the interview, we delve deeper in the potential of Overwatch as an eSports, talk about the issues TaKeTV faced while organizing the event, as well as briefly discuss the personalities in the current competitive scene. They also hint at a possible future for Overwatch in TaKeTV, which we personally can’t wait to see more of!
