We already knew the Russian Racewars, but now is a new event based on the players' race. This is the "Master of the Races", organized by Alpine and MeetYourMakers.com.
The Master of the Races is a Showmatch organized by the mYm's website, in order to determine who is the best player playing with each race, of course outside Korea.
To give you the format of this showmatch, let me quote
mYm.Alpine on MeetYourMakers.com :- Each Saturday, from now, until a winner is divulged, we will be hosting a best-of-five showmatch between two top level competitors. Each week, the winner will advance, and the loser will be dropped from the competition. For a player to be considered 'The Master of the Races', he must defeat a member of each race (P, T, Z, and a race-picker/random), in best-of-five matches. This means that it will take any given player 4 weeks of winning to compelete the competition, and gain the afore-mentioned title! All mirror matchups will be held for their 4th & final attempt, to allow for more interesting matches early on.
The first showmatch will be held next week, on Saturday 10th, 14:00 CET. Unfortunately, MeetYourMakers.com has not revealed yet the first 2 players that will play this showmatch, which will be shoutcasted by our very dear
Micro via RadioiTG.com. The players' names will be announced next Wednsday, 7th.The prizes for the players who manage to beat 4 others players in a row, one for each race, will be both a cash prize of $50 and a K1 Gaming Keyboard.
