Durin is finally going to be playable!
After his story arc concluded with “Paralogism”, Durin, who was once known as “Mini-Durin”, will soon be able to join travelers on their journey across Nod-Krai!
Durin will be made available in Version Luna III.
Durin played a major role in past versions, first as a storybook dragon created by the witch Andersdotter, or “M” of the Hexenzirkel, and later on was granted human form by Albedo with the use of alchemy.
Durin was first introduced in the “Summertide Scales and Tales” event, and was initially antagonistic like his namesake, the evil dragon that Barbatos and Dvalin had fought with in the past.
Durin caused havoc in the storybook world of Simulanka. However, interactions with the traveler, their friends, and the Wanderer caused him to have a change of heart. He would later traverse to reality with their blessings in the form of a small toy dragon, and was named “Mini-Durin” by Alice.
During the ending scenes of “Paralogism”, Albedo granted Mini-Durin a human form. In this new form, Durin would integrate himself into Mondstadt’s society as a “new companion”. Durin would later join Wanderer and Albedo as they made their way to Nod-Krai.
Durin wields a Pyro vision and uses the sword as his weapon of choice as seen in his teaser art. Considering the previous trends of how Genshin Impact has revealed new characters, Durin is likely to be a 5-star character.
Version Luna III is expected to release on 3 December, 2025.
