Evernight March 7th and Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae complete the set of Amphoreus' 12 Chrysos Heirs.
Honkai: Star Rail developer HoYoverse has revealed that new forms for March 7th and Dan Heng will complete the set of Amphoreus' 12 Chrysos Heirs, as the new 5-star characters coming in the game's Version 3.6 update in September. March 7th's new form is called ‘Evernight’ while Dan Heng's new form is called ‘Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae’.
Both of the new forms for March 7th and Dan Heng were first revealed in the trailer for Honkai: Star Rail's upcoming Version 3.5 update, titled ‘The Deliverer Trailer - "Trailblazer"’.
March 7th ‘Evernight’
March 7th's Evernight version will wield the Ice element and follow the Path of Remembrance. Evernight will also be the third version of Honkai: Star Rail's poster character available in the game, after her original 4-star Ice Preservation version and her alternate 4-star Imaginary Hunt version. March 7th joins Dan Heng and Tingyun among the game's list of 4-star characters to receive 5-star versions.
Despite being closely linked to the Path of Remembrance and its Aeon Fuli, one of the major players in the struggle for Amphoreus, March 7th has largely been sidelined in the game's current storyline after succumbing to a mysterious affliction and getting encased in ice upon the Astral Express' arrival to the planet. But now with the reveal of her new Evernight form, it seems March 7th is due to wake up soon to play her part in Amphoreus.
Evernight is very different from March 7th's typical bubbly demeanor and appearance, with her new form now seeing her wear a darker outfit, with a more sinister air about her. In the Version 3.5 trailer, Evernight March 7th can be seen swallowing what appears to be a miniature version of Amphoreus and wielding a black umbrella in battle. Described as a “child of Remembrance born from the shadow,” Evernight has been revealed to be the Chrysos Heir destined to carry the Coreflame of the Time Titan Oronyx.
But while the reveal of March 7th's new Evernight form is a massive revelation by itself, we still know very little about what her true connection to Amphoreus is, and how she comes to inherit the Coreflame of Time. We can expect Versions 3.5 and 3.6 to explore these developments in March 7th's character.
Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae
Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae will wield the Physical element and follow the Path of Preservation, being the game's first character with this element-Path combo. Permansor Terrae–meaning “Permanence of the Earth” in Latin–will be the third form for Dan Heng available in the game, after his original 4-star Wind Hunt form and his 5-star Imaginary Destruction Imbibitor Lunae form.
After journeying into Amphoreus alongside the Trailblazer, Dan Heng found himself embroiled in the Flame-Chase journey and titanic struggle for the fate of the planet. His heritage as a Vidyadhara, scions of the Aeon of Permanence Long, seems to have triggered Dan Heng's transformation into Permansor Terrae after “enduring a thousand years of suffering.” Dan Heng's Permansor Terrae form mixes elements of his original 4-star version and his Imbibitor Lunae form, with his outfit being his Astral Express uniform, while the Vidyadhara horns and tail seen in his Imbibitor Lunae form are now also visible.
As Permansor Terrae, Dan Heng will be the Chrysos Heir destined to carry the Coreflame of the Earth Titan Georios. With Amphoreus seemingly on an inexorable path towards destruction, Dan Heng joins the Trailblazer and March 7th among the beings with the chance to alter the fate of the world. As Permansor Terrae, Dan Heng “must steady the world as it falls, and guide all life across the land to a new home beyond.”
Evernight March 7th and Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae are set to join Honkai: Star Rail's Version 3.6 update, which is expected to be released in late September. The game's 3.5 update, which will see the release of Hysilens and Cerydra, is set to be released on 13 August.
