WCG06: Pictures of Day 1

[s]event_315[/s]Day 1 of WCG 2006 has come. GosuGamers have been to the tournament area and most gamers have arrived so far; we give you pictures of some of them.

The matches are scheduled for tomorrow and today GosuGamers were mainly checking out the tournament area the Grand Finals area. In general one feels quite lost since the Autodrome is quite far away from Monza.

For non-gamers and non-staff, there was no food in the area whatsoever, except for a small bar serving sandwiches. It seems unlikely this will change for tomorrow due to the location of the event - something that is also affecting the number of spectators. The opening ceremony consisted of around 200 people but most seemed to be related to the event itself; gamers, press, staff or sponsors.

Nevertheless, we wait anxiously for the event to start and we all know that most of the spectators are following the event online. And because of this we have brought you some pictures from today.
