WCG06: Old Paul_Yan and new Cobo enter

[s]event_315[/s]

Second time's a charm for Malaysia's StarCraft representant Cobo. Being unable to go last year, he re-qualified this year. GosuGamers met him and the rest of the Malaysian WCG team in the streets of Milano.

The center of Milano was crowded. On our way home after being in the city, we bumped into a familiar logo - WCG's. It turned out to be the Malaysian representatives. Among those were Cobo and Paul_Yan, taking part in StarCraft and WarCraft 3.

Cobo is the StarCraft representative, and is his first time playing World Cyber Games. He was actually qualified last year as well, but due to problems with school he was not able to go. He is located in Group B with top notch players such as Draco, Mondragon and Midas. Even if he should not be able to advance he will surely enjoy playing against such resistance.
- Although this situation is down for me, I got the opportunity to play with those progamers, he says in an interview at his clan site WeRiseAbove.com.
It will be interesting to see how well he will perform. He also says that he feels proud of representing Malaysia in Monza.

Their WarCraft 3 player is nicknamed Paul_Yan. His real name is Meng ChoonYan and is quite a WCG veteran. Played in WCG 2004 and 2005.In 2005 he did not manage to advance from his group, losing to everybody except for NCDude from Vietnam. In 2004 it went a bit better, winning two games in the group stage - against Levin from Brazil and HutrVie also from Vietnam. This year he is in Group C, and will be up against players like DIDI8 and Zergle from Egypt. No Vietnamese players though - how will he perform this year? With his experience he looks to be one of the players who has a good shot in advancing, along with the favourite DIDI8.

GosuGamers wishes the two the best of luck.
