With the WCS Finals being held next week the battle for the last spots would be fought out in the Consolation Bracket. The winner of each series will advance on to represent America at the WCS Finals that will be held next week in Toronto.
Hack Vs MacSed
The first series of the day was between Hack and MacSed, game one was won by MacSed after Hack attempted to pull all his SCVs against MacSeed's colossus/phoenix. However, game two was a different story with Hack sniping MacSed's robotics and forcing him to go templar archives. At this point he was just too far behind and Hack was able to take a decisive win in game two. Game three MacSed's build was similar to game one, however this time Hack was able to catch his army out of position, Hack was able to apply significant damage to MacSed's economy this included sniping his third base as well, allowing Hack to take the lead in the series 2-1. Game four was extremely back and forth with Hack looking extremely well in the early game, but lost a large amount of SCV's in an SCV/bio attack. The game was fairly even until Hack was able to destroy all of MacSed's colossus and after a few whiffed storms on MacSed's part Hack was able to take the game and with it the series 3-1.
Heart vs HerO
Game one HerO looked fantastic throughout the game going Templar first and holding off Heart's pushes without using many storms, it did look bad for a bit when a drop from Heart did significant damage but at the same time HerO countered with drops of his own and applied even more damage to Heart's economy. In the end the final nail in the coffin was HerO catching some fully loaded medivacs with feedback and destroying them making him the winner of game one. Game two HerO started off with a four gate that failed to break the front, however he was fairly even going into the mid game on harvesters. Heart then decided to end it with a split push where he sniped the main and forced a cancel on the third putting HerO in a horrible state and allowing Heart to eventually take game two. Game three was extremely back and forth, the game looked bad for HerO when Heart was able to destroy his third, but HerO was able to hold out and managed to Feedback all of Heart's ghosts later on. Due to Heart not having enough income to make more ghosts he was forced to GG. Game four HerO showcased some fantastic game sense, managing to pick off multiple full medivacs with his phoenix harass. Heart then attempted a timing attack with his scvs, but HerO was able to hold the attack with minimal losses, forcing Heart to GG. Thus giving HerO the series 3-1.
At the end of the Consolation bracket between the four players it would be HerO and Hack who will advance on to the WCS Finals which will be held next weekend.
