GSTL's new season began yesterday with Axiom-Acer vs FXOpen.
?A third place in this year's first GSTL season and a very strong performance in the recently finished ATC have been Axiom-Acer's main achievements. Although not yet crowned with glory, these performances mark the trend of a rising champion, or at least a force to be reckoned with. Now, with Innovation in its roster, Axiom-Acer's teamleague potential has became even scarier than it already was.
It's been Axiom-Acer's practice to save Ryung as their ace, although it has not been unheard of that the most overshadowed of the emperor's sons start out the series in what has been a highly effective shock tactic. Perhaps Axiom's strongest players and one of the Emperor's overshadowed sons, Ryung finally made his mark with Axiom. But with MMA making a return, and Innovation joining Acer, Ryung has lost his spot as the number one player in the partnership.
That does not have to be a bad thing. Yesterday Innovation opened for Axiom-Acer. He took down Hurricane, then sC, then Seed, then Leenock. Between them, they had two GSL trophies and several MLG championships.
