Flash: "There are times I want to have a girlfriend."

KT Rolster's star player opens up about BW, Terrran balance, League of Legends, and more.

Lee Young Ho, 21, otherwise known as Flash, gained the nickname God at the age of 18, after dominating the Korean Brood War scene for that year. Alternately called child prodigy, little monster, and the Ultimate Weapon, the boy's skill and fame eventually united in the appellation 'God,' which he has kept.

Although he remains just as famous, these days he is overshadowed by the likes of Innovation, Rain and Soulkey, who have been the three main new figures of the post-Kespa age of Starcraft 2. It is well known that players will rise and fall, dominating the scene for a couple of months, or half a year, or more, and, for now, these three are still in that uncertain phase. Flash, meanwhile, is adapting to Starcraft 2. While fearsome, he has not thus far lived up to his moniker.

When asked why people call him 'God,' Flash says this:  'I have good result (sic) in BW. I win (sic) lots of championships, so I was called "God Young-Ho". But after transition (sic) to SC2, I am not there yet. So calling me "Commoner Young-Ho" is more fitting now.' His answer runs along the same lines when it is suggested that his skill level in LoL is similar to his abilities in Starcraft: 'No matter it's LoL or Starcraft, I like to increase the kill count and lead our team to victory. As to the rumor that I am that good at LoL, it's just a rumor.'

The rest of the interview follows the same theme. Whether it's university, social life, or the underwhelming power of mech in Starcraft 2, there is the sense of something having been misplaced, of a certain decay that only appears with the vanishing of an age.
