sOs: "It’s a relief I was still able to pull through"

Having tremendous success beating KangHo and moving to the semifinals of GSL Code S, sOs seems to be one of the strong contenders for the title. Woongjin Stars Protoss player Kim "sOs" Yoo Jin was interviewed by ThisIsGame following his win.

As sOs prepares for his monumental match up against Soulkey and watching his would be opponents in RorO, Innovation, Bomber and Symbol, he has a short chat with ThisIsGame, that was translated by ESFI World. The main subject is his quarter-finals match up with KangHo.

"I was very confident in my PvZ while practicing for this match. I knew my opponent would go for a greedy style so I prepared some aggressive builds but KangHo was much less defensive than I thought he would be. Once I lost the first set, all the following builds that I had prepared were rendered useless. It’s a relief I was still able to pull through."

Speaking of his Zealot Archon rush that failed in the third set, sOs claims he played poorly:

"As opposed to the second set, I prepared Dark Templar while poking with Zealots. I could have done more damage with the DTs but I mis-microed. It wasn’t like I was in a difficult situation but I wasn’t happy with it. I think I spent too much time on the offensive without even knowing he had a third. Overall, I played very poorly."

About his upcoming match with teammate Soulkey, sOs shows some fear related to his stress levels:

"Soulkey is a very good player, practices very hard, and is an absolute monster. He has excellent decision making as well. I’m not sure how I’m going to approach this seeing as he is a fellow teammate. He played very calmly, unlike me. I know that if it’s going to be an even match, I’m going to have to be calm too."
