WCS Ranking: April 30th

With the end of the first Tier 1 non-WCS event, DreamHack Stockholm, comes a dramatic shift on the WCS leaderboard. The strong finishes from Europeans help keeping the top 15 mixed up nicely.

The 60,000 kr from this weekend’s DreamHack may not be the most money Leenock has won in two days yet, but the WCS alongside the money are proving their worth in gold, as the 18 year-old charges to the top of the leaderboard. After dropping out of Code S in the round of 32, the points from non-WCS events help greatly in pursuing the road to the 2013 finals.

Unsurprisingly, he is followed by the DreamHack runner-up NaNiwa, yet with a very distuingishable margin of 375 points. The Swede, however, has the advantage of being alive and kicking in the European Premier League with good chances to advance to the next round. His fellow countrymen SortOf and SaSe are the next frontrunners in terms of foreigners, followed by TLO and Grubby, all of them thanks to outstanding DreamHack performances.

It is to be noted that the ranking changes almost daily. So check back every Monday from here on out for updates. As the different regions are not running parallelly, hence the ranking is heavy on KR players until the American and European leagues really kick off.
