Game 1 would be the seemingly inevitable beginning of what to become. At this point, the old top 4 winning have become upsets and Good Game University definitely kicked things off in dominating fashion early on. To kick things off, Good Game University was able to secure 2 towers and a dragon, one of which was taken solo by Zionspartan on AD Tryndamere top.

A valiant effort, Saintvicious.

Stemming off of that would be absolutely incredible split push mechanics from Zionspartan and strategy on the part of Good Game University. Baiting just enough damage and attention garnered for GGU to focus on objectives and piece-by-piece tear Curse down would leave them feeling hopeless, and rightfully so.

Nearing the 28 minute mark, GGU would find themselves taking a 4 man baron while ZionSpartan took a bottom tower and inhibitor solo. This would mark the first AD Tryndamere game and victory in the LCS and against a team that was once on top against a team once on bottom.

In the next game of absolute madness, Good Game University appeared to have the advantage early with their bottom lane quite a bit ahead in farm after swapping to the mid lane. Curse did manage to pick up the early kills, however, Good Game University was able to take 2 turrets off the one dragon of Curse. After 20 minutes and a dragon fight gone awry for Curse Gaming, they lose the dragon and two kills and end up in the deficit for gold.

No matter how strong GGU was looking, they haphazardly walked into an awful situation at baron and Curse's incredible capitalization on it allowed Curse to grab a baron. GGU managed to put up an excellent blockade with Yordle snaptraps and splitting their forces to defend their base.

While waiting for a mistake, GGU themselves manage to stall even further by grabbing a kill and going after baron themselves. Slip-ups commence furthermore with Saint getting caught out of position, allowing GGU to pick up another baron at 59 minutes.. However, despite the strength of baron buff, the scaling didn't mean much this absurdly late into the game and Curse was able to capitalize on their map advantage and take it to a 3rd game.

The grand conclusion to this colossal showdown would not disappoint and would epitomize fun play with the name of the game being "Hook City." The beginning of the game would launch off to an unbearably close start with 2-2 as the score 9 minutes in, both towers falling simultaneously. While NintendudeX manages to outsmite Saintvicious in a dragon duel early on, things would look grim for them shortly thereafter when Curse would manage 4 kills out of that scenario.

What better battlefield for game 3 than "Hook City"?

Despite Curse looking way ahead in this situation, The gold disparity was close to nill with the stakes high and the nerves likely through the roof. Curse does manage to snag quite a few dragons for free uncontested, however, around the 23 minute mark, they misplayed hard and threw their lead to the ever triumphant looking Good Game University.

The battle once again turns out in GGU's favor in a heart stopping 4 for 2 battle with the gold lead even despite the game having gone on for over 35 minutes. With the assistance of a baron and some impressive pressure bottom, a hook from Bloodwater would grab Nyjacky's Malphite and win the game, bringing the nearly 10% win rate GGU in the beginning of the season to the NA Grand Finals.
