SKT recovered from their 3-4 loss to EG-TL earlier this week by overcoming T8, while the joint roster itself suffers a 2-1 defeat at the hands of STX Soul.
SKT's Protoss line-up once again conquered the day for team's 4-2 victory over KeSPA's Team 8. Brown and Rain opened the series strong, beating Argo and Cure in a quick PvP and a very standard PvT, respectively, and gave SKT a healthy lead.
ALBM and Terminator came to T8's help and put the score back to equal with well used mutalisks and blink stalkers. With the score 2-2, the next set was of utter importance for both teams as it'd put the other one a game away from defeat.
In the absolute highlight of the series, Fantasy played TY in a 40-minute TvT, one very reminiscent of his game against Flash in Round 4's opening game. Vikings, ravens, battlecruisers and thors clashed metal to metal until Fantasy's flotilla prevailed for 3-2. A brutal 2-base colossus timing from Parting followed and SKT came out as the final victor.

Although enjoying a hard-fought victory against SKT two days ago, EG-TL couldn't repeat the feat and suffered a 2-4 beating at the hands of STX Soul. The latter used a combination of standard play as well as unorthodox strategies like nydus/roach backdooring (Hyvaa vs Alive) and double proxy gateway (Trap vs Jaedong) and are undefeated fourth series in a row now, standing at the top of the round's rankings.
Taeja and Oz were the only EG-TL members to take games STX Soul, the former prevailing over Innovation in a second hectic TvT for the day.
