EG given def-loss, aL proceed to round two

-Update-

G-1 organizers just told Gosugamers that EG will indeed be receiving a default loss after several attempts to reload the game failed.

"Since EG could not reconnect into the game after 17 minutes and the game could not load due to some problem of Steam yesterday, EG vs AL game 2 not be loaded again. Besides, due to the obvious superiority in Gold and Exp of AL in game 2, and the disconnection of EG members, the final judgement is that EG will be given a default loss."

With this, EG has been eliminated from the tournament. aL will be moving through to the next round to play Team Liquid.

The game between Absolute Legends and Evil Geniuses has been postponed due to technical issues. If the game is not able to reload, like the seven times they tried, EG will receive a default loss.

Absolute Legends and Evil Geniuses' fate in G-1 League is currently in limbo due to some technical issues with game reloads.

It first started with EG players, Maelk and Bdiz specifically claiming that they are being DDOS and were suffering huge lag to continue playing. The game was paused for about 40 minutes before G-1 pulled the ultimatum, if EG members do not return in five minutes, the American will have to be forced to forfeit.

EG members did eventually return to a reload of the game. The reload game however, did not hold up and aL players were soon getting disconnection in the masses. The disconnections happened every 30 seconds or so.

When the game was remade on the 16th minute mark, the Danes were unhappy because they built up a huge advantage between 16th minute mark to the 17th minute. Absolute Legends won game one and had a 5,000 gold advantage before the pause.

However, they reluctantly agreed to continue on with the game before getting disconnected.

Game was remade seven times and G-1 decided to postpone the game indefinitely while they have talks with Valve to possibly have the game remade. G-1 told Gosugamers that if a reload is impossible, EG will receive default loss.

Game 1

The drafts opened up with EG last picking the Alchemist as their carry while Absolute Legends opted for the Faceless Void. A smart rotation by aL by putting their supports into the enemy jungle nearly caught the Batrider out of position but he managed to find space for himself to Salve up to avoid the First Blood. The early game silence was ruin with First Blood being claimed on the bot lane along with five kills to soon follow by EG.

EG continued their advantage by winning a fight in the mid lane. An over-commited and out of position EG soon fell when a backstab Reverse Polarity by aL allowed them to get counter kills as well as the tier-one tower on the mid lane. aL soon went into the Rosh pit and successfully picked off the Shadow Demon scout. With beautiful Reverse Polarities by miggel, aL seemed to be back in the game with a three kill lead.

aL started pursuing their advantage with their team fight potential and team wiped EG on the top lane. Using the global presence of Nature's Prophet allowed aL to claim second Roshan with ease although Batrider managed to blink in and stole the Aegis. Batrider paid for his insolence with his death.

Despite strong advantage in aL's favor, EG's farmed Lone Druid fended off a couple of attacks which led to a third Roshan claim after a sloppy team fight by the Danes. Another sloppy team fight by aL secured Lone Druid a triple kill and EG was at the brink of a comeback.

After twenty minutes of poor execution, aL finally pulled a good one on EG's front door and pushed on to claim the rax and the gg.

Game 2

It was EG running the offensive trilane in the second game albeit not a strong one composing of Tidehunter, Gyrocopter and Bane Elemental. The offensive trilane was met with Phantom Lancer, Nyx Assassin, and Vengeful Spirit from aL's side. aL once again allowed Nature Prophet to solo against the Lone Druid in the off-lane.

A horrible gank by aL resulted in both of their supports dying to a four man rotation by EG. aL did get some revenge kills a minute later on the bottom lane, killing the Gyrocopter and the Tidehunter. Tidehunter died again shortly after due to bad positioning.

Solo mid Dark Seer started getting a big amount of farm, picking up 74 creep kills in 10 minutes. aL pushed the safe lane and successfully took down two uncontested towers while EG only took one on the top lane. Dark Seer bought his Mekansm and Arcane Boots at 12 minutes. Nature's Prophet got his Shadow Blade 14 minutes into the game after aL successfully ganked the Lone Druid.

EG players, Maelk and Bdiz in particular paused the game at 17 minutes claiming that they are being DDOS and are unable to continue playing the game. The pause lasted for 40 minutes before G-1 organizers pulled the plug on EG, stating if Maelk and Bdiz cannot continue in the game, they will be forfeited. EG attempted to reload the game but it is to no avail. Decision for the series has been postponed.
