WCS Europe is set to begin this weekend with NA coming around the next week.
While the battle for the Korean WCS is already under way since April 4th, the European and North American circuits are about to begin in the coming days.
Since there haven't been any sort of qualifying system for the foreign tournaments (in contrast to GSL's long-established Code S/Code A structure), WCS Europea and WCS NA will be a combination of invites and qualifiers.
24 players from each region will be seeded directly into the league play (starting April 23rd for Europe and April 28th for NA). Additional "special qualifiers" will be held to determine the remaining eight players to join the circuit.
The 32 players will be sifted through until eight remain. Those will battle in the regional playoffs (a weekend-long offline event) to determine the top players in that region. Once all local playoffs are done, a season finals will welcome world's best sixteen - six from the hosting region and five from the other two.
