Complexity upsets dignitas in W5D1 at MLG

With MLG finally upon us, the LCS is officially at the halfway point.

With a two week long break over, LCS finally resumes with TSM vs GGU. TSM started the game with aggression that all TSM fans know of. GGU could not come up with a way to defeat TSM with all lanes losing. Reginald came up big with Twisted Fate as he forced kills after kills against GGU. GGU had no chance to win soon after with TSM snowballing harder and harder, eventually giving TSM the victory.

The second game of the night was a battle of opposites of the first place Dignitas vs last placed Complexity. This was a back and forth game starting from the beginning with kills being traded back and forth. Lautemortis was consistently at the right place at the right time with his ganks starting the game 4-0. However Dignitas had Imaqtpie to always keep Complexity on edge.

The game shifted towards Complexity favor when a team fight was initiated by Dignitas at the bottom base tower. Dignitas had initiated without picking up a kill and had Complexity on the run, however Lautemortis did a clutch rupture to get Complexity to turn around and ace Dignitas. Dignitas then tried to Baron after taking out brunch Ü and Nickwu, however Meyea and Laute kept the baron alive while Chuuper ran ahead and managed to take down both Nexus turrets. Complexity held the lead and managed to upset Dignitas in one action packed game.

After a plethora of pauses, The Return of the King and George of the Jungle both make their return debut in this classic rival match between Curse and Counter Logic Gaming. The bottom lane causes havoc for CLG by Aphromoo and Doublelift both getting caught, Doublelift blowing summoners and Aphromoo suffering a swift death. Jiji would come back with red in his eyes, absolutely crushing Nyjacky, up 3-0 and applying enough pressure to let CLG take the first turret.

Despite the roster adjustment, Counter Logic Gaming had dominant control over the early game, but through poor decision making ended up throwing around 25 minutes with a pick leading into a free inhibitor for Curse Gaming. Unfortunately, Counter Logic Gaming would not retain their former glory as Curse Gaming was able to close out the game much more efficiently.

Despite the most insane amount of lane swaps recorded in LCS history, the game remains extra passive with both sides playing cautious and even in the fray. While most of the primary roster fell behind, the brave sub stood strong against Zuna, playing marvelously under pressure on stage with his off role.

As time slipped by and things began to unfold, Vulcun's experience and comfort in their primary roster proved too much to the unsuspecting MRN and the lead grew stronger and stronger. Not only was Vulcun steamrolling MRN in kills by the time mid-late game rolled around, but they held utter dominance in map pressure by having several times more towers than MRN. Vulcun's lead was extended too much and they eventually drove home the win in their favor.

In the dawn of the international portion of the tournament, things start aggressive straight away with counter-jungling coming off from both sides. Gambit Gaming gets a solid start, diving nearly into inner tower to grab first blood on Genja, mirroring the result bottom in Dignitas' favor.

With emotions shooken up a bit from the bitter loss to compLexity, Dignitas' performance slips further and further but not before putting up a very strong fight versus the international overlords. Dignitas do manage to take a baron in the mid-late game but Gambit was able to keep the pressure tight on them despite that fact.

Eventually, the overwhelming gold league that Alex and Genja had over Dignitas was too destructive to deflect and let to the demise of Dignitas in Game 1.

Dignitas would find no remorse in Game 2 and suffer to the wrath of Gambit in game 2. Edward not only strikes fears into the heart of the enemy with his aggressive play, but he also takes advantage of rustled jimmies, stealing away the blue buff straight away, essentially screwing Scarra for the rest of the game.

There's no kind or gentle way to put the spanking that was game 2; it was closed out abruptly and Diamondprox managed to land himself multiple kills beyond the "Legendary" mark, absolutely crushing and showing presence all over the map. Some would probably claim Dignitas had gone mad letting Gambit have the picks they had once again, but one thing is for sure, it didn't pay off for them in game 1 and it didn't pay off in game 2 either. Gambit moves on to the finalsto face the winner of Curse vs. KT Rolster B.
