Week three of the European LCS concludes explosively as teams were out for the last drops of blood before the “hell week” this weekend.
The highlight match for the day did not disappoint one bit as Dragonborns and GIANTS orchestrated one spectacle heavy on kills and aggression. The early double kill on Jimbownz’ Caitlyn was soon balanced by a double kill on Shushei’s Vi and that actually onset a mid-game that went entirely into Dragonborns’ favor. DB went for a heavy attack-speed composition with Vi, Kha’Zix and Kayle and quickly seized an advantage by just blowing up random GIANTS members but as the game entered its later stages, DB’s composition started to lose efficiency. Warmogs and Randuins came from the Spaniards and their Volibear, Ryze and Caitlyn soon became too great a threat for DB to handle. Upon losing a fight at bottom inner turrent, lights went out for DB.

In a complete contrast to the previous game, Fnatic went on to absolutely demolish Against All Authority without giving them any room to breathe. An early-game 3/0/3 Miss Fortune was not even aAa’s biggest problem as Fnatic also brought on a textbook sOAZ Malphite and a Smite/Teleport Volibear on Cyanide, a combination that did not leave a single safe pixel on the map for the French roster.

In the third match for the week, Copenhagen Wolves scored yet another loss – this time against Dragonborns – and continue to hold the lowest position in the rankings with 0-8. A half-hearted engagement at around the 15th minute mark led to the death of three Wolves members as well as an inner mid turret, a disadvantage that quickly snowballed out of control. Once again running a composition of deadly initiators with Jarvan, Xin Zhao and Amumu, Dragonborns introduced CPW’s Caitlyn and Lux to worlds of pain, easily securing the win by the 30th minute.

To cool off the passions, aAa went against GIANTS with a slow, calm, methodical and incredibly efficient poke composition. Despite running a team that had CC on every single champion, GIANTS failed to make big 5v5 plays and were bled out almost single-handedly by Shlaya’s Nidalee, which by the end of the game was hitting for 90% of the health of the squishies. Once they stripped GIANTS of inhibitors, aAa paraded towards their second LCS victory.

This week’s results put Fnatic over EG in the LCS ranking as both teams enjoy equal wins but Fnatic are one loss fewer.
