No SC2 at Assembly Winter

According to Fragster.de, the Finnish LAN event is moving away from eSports and as a result there will be no ASUS ROG tournament for StarCraft 2 this February.

"There is no possibility to get a full time job with eSport in Finland," says Petri Hämälä, the man behind the ASUS ROG events, who has lost the motivations after a decade in the business. This is the first time since 2011 that Assembly will not have eSports competition after welcoming StarCraft 2 gamers a total of four times, twice each year.

The source further states that without Hämälä, there are no other persons involved in eSports in Finland that can make something of the scale of ASUS ROG tournaments happen so this is a certain "no" on seeing SC2 at Assembly next month.

Although this definiteness covers Assembly Winter only, this doesn't meant that Assembly Summer will go back to eSports in August and the second event of the year is still under a question mark as far as such competition is concerned.
