The PC Gamer magazine published the list of nominees for their annual awards. Dota 2 is nominated for 'Game of the Year' as well 'eSport'.
Last year, the title for the 'Game of the Year' has been won by the much-praised role play game Skyrim. In 2012, Dota 2 is in the running with games such as Dishonored, Mass Effect 3 or XCOM: Enemy Unknown.
A new category this year is the 'eSport' one in which Dota 2 battles League of Legends and Starcraft 2 for the title. Starcraft 2 and League of Legends are not nominated for the 'Game of the Year'-Award.
Diablo 3 is nominated in the category RPG, while World of Warcraft's expansion Mists of Pandaria is nominated for the MMO award. The winners will be announced in the next issue of PC Gamer; stay tuned to GosuGamers.net to find out if Dota 2 can win both titles.
