The groups for DreamHack Winter are here and grand they are. The 20 qualified players now know their opponents and can start training for the $82,000 competition Nov 22-24.

Although every pool has its stars, one stands out as the most unpredictable and ruthless. Group D has harbored reigning DH Winter champion HerO, DH Stockholm champion Thorzain, the silver king of foreign competition ForGG and two of the best Europeans to have ever played the game in Naniwa and Ret, who, although underperforming these past couple of weeks, are anything but incapable of a deep run.

Next to it stand the rich on protosses Group C with Mana, Sase and Socke and it's diametrical opposite Group B with four zergs and a lone protoss. Finally, there's the other good candidate for the group of death in A, which sees names like Stephano, Taeja, TheSTC and Fraer.

There are also two players that would not have been here otherwise. As Polt and Monster would be skipping the tournament, Sjow and Monchi step in to fill the top 20 quota.

Group A
Korea Taeja
France Stephano
Ukraine Fraer
Korea TheSTC
Sweden Sjow
BYOC

Group C
Poland Mana
Ukraine Bly
Sweden Sase
Sweden Starnan
Germany Socke
BYOC
Group B
Poland Nerchio
Ukraine Dimaga
Norway Targa
Germany TLO
Austria Monchi
BYOC

Group D
Sweden Thorzain
Korea ForGG
Netherlands Ret
Korea HerO
Sweden Naniwa
BYOC

Only the top three of each group will proceed to DH Winter playoffs: winner is seeded directly into the quarter finals while runner ups will battle it out in the Ro12. Making quarter finals also means getting a slice of the prize pool pie, the winner to bank more than $37,000.
