Eclypsia and Curse.EU advance to semi-finals

After hard-fought bouts in the quarter finals, the contendors to meet SK and Moscow 5 in the semi-finals are decided.

Although Mouz ended up getting shut down pretty hard and convincingly, the second of the quarterfinal sets were nail-bitingly close and hard fought for who would be the kings of Europe this time around.

Eclypsia won in convincing fashion after extending and taking full advantage of well played leads early on, taking the series to 2-0 with ease.

In Game 1 of Curse.EU vs ATN, both AP mids became strong early, but unfortunately bottom lane wasn't looking too hot for Curse. ATN's bottom line was in full control, bringing a fed Graves at 5-0-1 to the table.

Curse EU wasn't ready to give up that game of the set just yet, though, and successfully contest and keep many dragons and global objectives to pull through. Curse.EU farms up better and just tries to close the gap between ATN's lead.

After some misplays from ATN, Curse EU grabs a qudra kill, but not just any quadra kill, but a quadra kill on the infamous late-game hyper carry Jax. They take a baron off of it and basically take the game straight away from there. ATN lost the lead and therefore lost the game to a superior late game composition and playstyle.

In Game 2 Kassadin picks up quick kill from the assisting Skarner, giving a quick and scary lead for Kassadin.

Not much happens until about 18 minutes in where dragon gets contested. Curse seizes their gold lead and grabs dragon from an excellent smite from Maokai into a 2-0 trade for team ATN.

As the game goes on, ATN continues to extend their lead by winning trades and taking another baron, causing Curse EU to surrender and try to enter Game 3 with a better mentality.

The final game, Game 3, kicks off with Malunoo being a true MvP and getting two kills for Curse immediately. Malunoo went on a roaming and ganking rampage, wanting to prove that his team belongs in semi-finals, and not the underdog team.

Although Curse managed to stay ahead all game, ATN did put up a few good fights, but with 1 inhibitors down, then 2 inhibitors down, and then as you might have guessed, 3 inhibitors down, ATN looked hopeless and got crushed, securing Curse.EU a spot in the semi finals.

The semi-finals and finals kicks off live in Paris, France on November 11th, where we get to see the victor of our quarter-finalists face off against the European powerhouses Moscow 5 and SK Gaming to fight for the grand final spot in Tales of the Lane.
