Group B full of near-upsets, but Moscow 5 still prevails

Though a lot of series came extremely close and some games had unsuspected results, M5 still prevailed in the end.

If anything took people from surprise most in Group B on a macro perspective, it would have to Eclypsia's solid performance. Not many people know of this team and for the longest time they were the top of their Group during the broadcast. Not to mention they had some of the most exciting picks.

On a micro perspective, however, the mind blowing event that occurred into tonight's tournament is Shushei's new team, IWantCookie, not only defeating M5, but absolutely crushing them. It was not even close and M5 was handled as a playtoy. Let's a take a closer look at the game :

----------

To what would seem to begin a boring game, the jungling phase starts out conservative. Although strange coming from M5 as their signature is heavy counter jungling, they've proven time and time again they are no one-trick poiny. Things don't say dull for long, however, as around as early game Alex Ich not only dies once, but gets his early game Zilean abused TWICE, bringing 2 kills to IWC straight away.

Simultaneously, things look action packed bottom as IWC's bottom lane absolutely decimates M5's combo of Genja and GosuPepper, making Ezreal one fed carry at 4-0.

Successful gank after successful gank, after successful gank, Shook makes himself one scary Maokai before Haloween and particpates in all 7 kills early game, bringing IWC to a 7-0 lead, but not for long as that quickly elevates to 11-0.

Later on, YoungBuck abuses their lead heavily by making M5 chase him split-pushing bottom with their entire team while the rest of IWC happily and freely take baron.

Although the battle seems well-fought and over, Moscow 5 pull out some magic and win a couple teamfights in their base, however not without heavy objective losses such as inhib turrets and inhibitors themselves. With another baron and several losses from M5 taking the bait, WIC ends the game with Shushei landing an absolutely flawless Bind + ulti combo on their entire team with Lux.

------------------------

As seen above, Moscow 5, Curse EU, and to the biggest surprise Eclypsia will be the ones excelling into the playoffs despite IWantCookies incredible spotlight. The Playoffs will begin starting the same time at 19:00 CET tomorrow, and finish on November 11th at a live LAN event in Paris.
