The GSL players might have lost the very first cross tournament but they delivered a crushing retort today as the KeSPA members fell 0-4 to the new generation of StarCraft.

The first match of the event saw a KeSPA terran lose to the GSL protoss, the latter throwing in multiple manner nexuses to mark his victory, leading many fans to suspect that this is in fact IM's Seed. Not until later was it revealed that the protoss came from team StarTale and thus the speculations naturally began gravitating around Squirtle, Ace or Parting.

The second series was a PvZ between a KeSPA protoss and a GSL zerg. The zerg opened the first game with a 6-pool into expand, eventually winning the map with a brood lord composition, and used hydra/nydus on the second map to claim the series. Although his name was never officially revealed, both viewers and casters expressed strong convictions that the player in question is Life, especially after it was confirmed that he too comes from team StarTale. A mention of ZeNEX (Life's team before its acquisition by StarTale) on the Korean stream additionally supported this theory.

The two GSL players thus met in the final series for the day. The zerg once again went for a 6-pool but the solid wall-off by the protoss and the lack of hatchery transition cost him game one. In game two, zerg's roaches got trapped in a forcefield prison and were shot to death, making the GSL protoss - later revealed to be ST's Squirtle - the second champion of the GSK/KeSPA cross tournament.

The third cross event is exactly one week from now, July 23rd.
