France threatening Blizzard with legal action

IncGamers.com have posted a translated summary of a Quechoisir.org article, stating that France might take legal actions against the video game company due to the shaky launch of Diablo 3 and its online DRM.

The French organization "UFC Que Choisir" has received over 1500 complaints in four days from Diablo 3 buyers regarding issues about the game servers' malfunctions, which, as our readers might recall, was a problem often encountered during the first weeks of Diablo 3's launch. "UFC Que Choisir" has asked Blizzard to provide a permanent solution to these problems within 15 days and also give the affected gamers damages for the troubles they have experienced.

Additionally, the DGCCRF (the French Direction of Economy, Finance and Commerce) has been asked to closely examine the online-only DRM games and how they function economically.

France is the second country to take such actions as just a couple of days ago, South Korea threatened Blizzard with lawsuits on the same grounds of server instability.
