Moscow Five win $1,000 at M5.Dota 2 Open

Viewers were spoilt for choice last night when the M5.Dota 2 open ran concurrently promising intense Dota 2 action with many of Europe's top powerhouses. Eventually, it was Moscow Five who took the throne to their organisation's cup, walking home with $1,000 and the championship title of the inaugural M5.Dota 2 Open.

M5's opponents in the finals, SNP, tore the competition apart by edging out teams like Quantic and NEXT.kz while being relatively unknown in the scene. M5's journey, however, consisted of a relatively easy road picking off teams SFZ and DM, besides playing DTS in round two.

It would almost have been the perfect upset had SNP snatch the title away from home defenders Moscow Five but that was not the case - Moscow Five proved themselves as one of the best teams in Russia after dispatching their compatriots in two one-sided and quick games.

VoDs for Game 1 and Game 2 have already been uploaded onto joinDOTA along with the rest of the games from the tournament. Check out what you missed here.
