$5000 Gigabyte Dota 2 Masters

The Chinese are coming. The largest Asian-only tournament to date, hosted by BeyondTheSummitTV, brings together the top 24 teams in Asia to duke it out for the crown, as well as a hefty prizepool of $5000.

With an aim of providing a competitive, top-tier Dota 2 tournament to teams in the Asian/Oceanic region, viewers are in for a treat as it will be one of the first tournaments which invite participation from all around Asia. The tournament will see Chinese teams come out in full force, including the much talked about return of EHOME, as well as the every present SEA teams.

Two slots are also open to winners of 2 qualifiers which will be held from 25th to 28th April. The qualifiers will involve best-of-one matches and the overall winners will have a chance to pit their skills against other top teams in Asia.

Qualifier #1: April 25-26 (Wed/Thurs) 18:00-22:00 GMT+8
Qualifier #2: April 28 (Saturday) 14:00-22:00 GMT+8

The tournament itself will begin on the 29th of April and run over a period of six weeks, with a Double Elimination bracket format. Matches will all be Best of three up until the Grand final, which would be Best of 5 with the team from the winner's bracket having a one game advantage going into the grand final.

Group Stage to end by 23 May
May 24 - June 3 - WB/LB Round 1
June 4 - June 7 - LB Round 2
June 8 - June 10 - WB Round 2 / LB Round 3
June 11- June 12 - LB Round 4
June 13 - June 15 - WB Round 3 / LB Round 5
June 16 - LB Final
June 17 - Grand Final


The winner will walk away with $3000, runners up with $1250 and $750 respectively.

Matches will be casted in several languages, with a confirmed English language stream. This will arguably be the first time Chinese teams are able play with significantly less internet restrictions and surely all eyes will be on them.
