Although an IEM newcomer, Sung Won "MMA" Moon found no trouble coming out as the dominant force in the Ukrainian capital. Besides the $6,500 prize money, MMA is awarded a seed into the IEM World Championship in Hanover.

Thing started on the right foot for the homeground player as Dimaga did not hesitate to punish MMA's greedy build and breached his base with waves of banelings and speedlings. 1-0 for the Ukrainian zerg.

Dimaga looked none too shabby in the second game either, beautifully defending MMA's banshee opening. The terran followed this up with a pure mech army of preigniter hellion/thor which Dimaga could not find a suitable response.

The last two games were much more of a stomp with MMA abusing the power of marauder/hellion opening to safely expand behind the pressure and finally finishing off Dimaga with a proxy rax rush on Metalopolis.
