Tobi: "The popularity of DotA is in the hands of the community."

In an exclusive interview with joinDotA's TobiWanKenobi done up by none other than GamersBook, Tobi talks about his experience as a shoutcaster along with his insight into the game and its future as an eSports title.

With virtually all his casts brimming with intensity, it leaves one wondering how Tobi maintains such a high level of energy throughout games which may run for hours.

"Some games I admit are a challenge, but it is in those moments you need to dig deep, find excitement in the smallest thing, or make the most of the opportunity to do other things."

Even so, Tobi admitted that it was not an easy ride and streaming DotA required dedication and passion till the end.

"I believe I did one thing that so many DOTA streamers did not do, and that is cast frequently and be dedicated to the coverage."

Nevertheless, Tobi could not deny that he loved his job especially since it entailed travelling all over the world and being a part of large scale events such as SMM.

..."the atmosphere at LAN events is just so awesome, there is something about a live crowd that gets under my skin and pumps me up. SMM I would have to say is my favorite event."
